Current opportunity: Staff Accountant 

Location: Bangalore
Hybrid role
Shifts: 5 pm to 2 am IST
Years of experience: 4-6 years 

What you will do:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a minimum of 4 years of experience. They will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's accounts payable function. They will handle tasks such as processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely payments. Accounts Payable Accountants reconcile statements, resolve payment discrepancies, and maintain vendor records.

Responsibilities: 
  • Have strong understanding of the end-to-end accounting process.
  • Experience in processing general ledger transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Experience in GL reconciliation and bank reconciliation statements. 
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable invoices and data entry.
  • Responsible for Vendor Maintenance.
  • Responsible for the AP Mailbox, entering invoices and responding to all queries.
  • Reviewing Affiliate batch information and uploading invoice to the Finance System.
  • Ensuring imaging of invoice supporting documents is timely and accurately performed.
  • Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis for special projects as requested.
  • Analyze vendor accounts for accuracy.
  • Record entries in affiliated companies’ books for expenses.
  • Backup and support for other team members.
  • Assisting with Audit Support as necessary.
  • Serve as a member of the finance team. Perform duties necessary to ensure the team's projects/goals are completed. 
  • Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by the management.

Qualifications/Skills: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • High level of accuracy in preparing and entering data with attention to detail..
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in NetSuite.
  • Flexibility and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
