Current opportunity: Staff Accountant
Location: Bangalore
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid
Years of experience: 8 to 10 years
What you will do:
As a Staff Accountant you will prepare and review financial documents, reports, and statements. You will ensure financial balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations are accurate, identify and describe areas where problems and inefficiencies are systemic in nature. You will oversee all accounting procedures (e.g. tax returns, month-end closures) and general financial matters.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monthly general ledger account reconciliation.
- Responsible for coordinating month-end closing activities.
- Responsible for journal entry preparation and input.
- Review financial documents.
- Generate financial analysis report.
- Assist Finance Director and CFO with projects as required.
- Assists with training of accounting staff.
- Review monthly expenses.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis for special projects as requested.
- Analyse accounts for accuracy.
- Record entries in affiliated company’s books for expenses.
- Backup and support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Responsible for Fixed Asset processing and reporting.
- Transfer funds & review cash position using electronic banking.
- Assist with year-end closing and work with auditors to verify information for yearly audit.
- Serve as a member of the finance team. Perform duties necessary to ensure the team's projects/goals are completed.
To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- Ability to start quickly.
- Bachelor/master’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 8-10 years’ experience in finance with accounts reconciliation experience.
- Competent in using NetSuite.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- High level of accuracy in preparing and entering data with attention to detail.
- Very effective organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
