What you will do: 

Workplace Options have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Account Representative in our UK office. This would be a hybrid or fully remote position depending on your proximity to our London office. The primary role of the Customer Support Account Representative is to virtually account manage a centralised portfolio of global small business clients.  The role also includes supporting the Customer Support Manager as well as team members. The Customer Support Account Representative is expected to retain existing business and generate additional revenue through up-sales and expansions of Workplace Options’ products and services. While the primary focus is to deliver account management via electronic communication. This position may require occasional travel to the London office and attendance at our annual SAM conference. 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide virtual account management globally to WPO small business clients.
  • Developing strong pro-active client relationships, understanding customer business requirements and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Upselling and consultative cross-selling
  • Close liaison with operations colleagues located in our global service centers.
  • Generating growth within the assigned client portfolio by value-added solution sales of additional products and services to achieve set annual targets.
  • Undertaking planning and launch activity for new clients and supporting existing clients with on-going initiatives and contact activity. 
  • Taking a lead role in responding to requests from clients for contract renewals and tenders relating to the assigned client portfolio.
  • Developing strong relationships with Workplace Options colleagues in all our territories. 
  • Active participation in supporting Workplace Options’ business objectives, projects and initiatives.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial system, NetSuite, by updating and maintaining the correct finance contact information and comments, as well as managing dunning pauses when necessary.
  • Participate in adhoc projects and assignments on behalf of the department and company.

Qualifications/Skills:

To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills: 
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in management, business or related field.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in French and English.
  • Previous demonstrated experience in an account management or customer service role working in the business-to-business services sector and or with 3rd party re-sellers.
  • Strong understanding of core requirements for an account management role and the ability to implement these.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and professional presentation skills in both English and French. Frequent online presentations are required as part of the role.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Flexibility; creative problem-solving with ability to think “outside the box” to assist the client.
  • Proficient with computers, web technology applications and competent in working with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Able to work independently as well as being part of a virtual team across a matrix structure.
