Current opportunity: Financial Auditor
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: remote or hybrid
Shifts: part time) 20-25 hours Monday - Friday
Years of experience: a minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial counseling where military counseling is preferred.

What you will do:
Workplace Options have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Auditor position. This will either be a hybrid or fully remote call center environment position depending on your proximity to our Chesapeake, Virginia office. This position will be an integral part of the Military OneSource Team and has you assisting financial counselors in areas of quality control and supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Auditing: must perform 6 audits per consultant, which could be a mix of 3 case audits and 3 call audits monthly.
  • Coaching: will be required to provide feedback/coaching to financial counselors including areas of improvement with educational resources (websites, tipsheets, etc) that they may use for future development.
  • Reporting: create and update audit reports tracking identified issues for training and correction actions.


Qualifications/Skills:
To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
  • US citizen
  • Completed bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience as a coach or auditor is a plus
  • Maintain a national certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
  • Must be organized, disciplined and able to multi-task
  • They should personify positive customer service and maintain efficient work habits with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work with a team or group of people efficiently
  • Able to handle fast paced and ever-changing environment while meeting production and quality standards for current position
  • Knowledge around specific financial programs and benefits, including but not limited to bankruptcy, budgeting, debt management, credit, basic investments, financial planning, financial report review (credit report), foreclosure prevention, home buying, small business, personal income taxes and military financial literacy (SBP, SGLI, VGLI, SCRA, BRS, TSP)
